These ways of creating, distributing and consuming new media occurs within many various discourses and discourse communities.

I appreciate the many components you have woven together for your definition of new media. The examples you've provided also help to illustrate the kinds of contexts and uses to which these are put. Additionally, your emphasis on design, production, distribution, and consumption fits well with Sorapure's (and Manovich's) arguments, as well as the definition constructed on wikipedia.
